Terms of Service

1. Scope

These terms apply to the entire relationship between us and the user in connection with the Service. By using the Service you are deemed to have agreed to them.

2. What the Service is

The Service is a browser extension that measures time spent on social media and other websites in the user's own browser and restricts the display according to conditions the user has set in advance, together with a website that manages eligibility to use it.

The Service exists for the user's own self-management. It does not provide any facility for monitoring other people.

3. Accounts

• Using Pro features requires signing in with a Google account.
• Users are responsible for managing their own account.
• We are not liable for loss arising from unauthorised use of an account.

4. The Pro licence

• Pro is a one-time purchase. There is no monthly fee.
• Up to three browsers may be connected to one account at the same time.
• A browser can be disconnected from the account page at any time, and the freed slot can be reused.
• The licence is tied to the account that bought it and may not be transferred or lent to anyone else.

5. Price and payment

Pro is sold by Polar Software, Inc. as the merchant of record. Prices are shown during checkout, and payment methods and receipts are handled by them.

6. Refunds

The Service is a digital product, and as a rule refunds are not given once a purchase has completed.

This does not apply where the Service remains unusable for reasons attributable to us. Whether a refund is granted is determined by Polar Software, Inc. as the seller.

7. Prohibited conduct

Users must not:

• reverse engineer, modify or redistribute the Service;
• circumvent licence verification, or help others to do so;
• place an excessive load on the Service's servers;
• use the Service to monitor another person; or
• act unlawfully or contrary to public order and morals.

8. Changes, suspension and discontinuation

We may change what the Service does, and may suspend or discontinue it. Changes to the sites it covers may stop some features from working as intended.

If the Service is to be discontinued, notice will be given on this site in advance.

9. Disclaimers

• The Service assists with limiting usage time. It does not guarantee any particular effect or outcome.
• Features may be temporarily unavailable because of changes to covered sites, browser updates or network conditions.
• Except in cases of our wilful misconduct or gross negligence, we are not liable for loss arising from use of the Service.

What is collected and how it is handled is set out in the Privacy Policy.

11. Changes to these terms

We may revise these terms where we consider it necessary. Revised terms take effect when they are published on this page.

12. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of Japan. Any dispute concerning the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction, in the first instance, of the district court with jurisdiction over our address.
